Rum ball- easy and delicious dessert


  • 200 g sponge cake
  • 100 g biscuits
  • 150 gr of favorite jam
  • 3/4 cup of butter
  • 3/4 bar of dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup grated nuts hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, the one you like the most
  • 1/3 cup nuts cut into small pieces little chunks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons of double cream or milk
  • 100 ml of rum optional, you can repace it with coffee or milk
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • Pinch of salt
  • coconut flakes to coat
  • 2 tbsp cocoa


  1. Soak the raisins and cranberries in the rum for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

  2. In a large bowl - crush the sponge and biscuits. It's good to leave some biscuits to have larger pieces.

  3. Melt chocolate with butter.

  4. Add the rest of the ingredients to the bowls, cranberry and raisins add together with rum. Miix everything well.

  5. Form identical balls from the prepared mass using a small ice scoop, and then coat them in coconut flakes.

  6. Ready balls put in the fridge for a minimum of 1 hour to cool.
