At home, we love donuts. And as much as the shop bought are ok, home made are the best. They are time consuming to make, but so worth the effort.
You won’t know until you try, right?
I got my recipe from my aunt, I changed it a little, but I think homemade donuts are not as difficult as it may seem.
Hopefully you will like them as much as my family does.
Homemade donuts filled with jam
- 600 g flour
- 1 cup of milk my cup has a capacity of 250 ml
- 5 yolks
- 4 tablespoons of fine sugar
- pinch of salt
- 100 g butter
- 7 g dry yeast
- jar of raspberry jam
- 1 liter of vegetable oil for frying
Pour the flour and the rest of the dry ingredients into the mixer bowl with the dough hook.
Separate yolks from whites.
Heat the milk with butter until it dissolves, leave to cool for 2 minutes.
Add egg yolks and butter milk to flour
Run the mixer on slow speed, increase after 2 minutes. Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes.
The dough will be relatively loose.
After kneading, put the dough to rise in a warm place for an hour.
Put the dough on the dusted flour board, knead it lightly and roll it out for 3-5 mm, carve out the size that suits us.
Let stand for about 15 minutes.
Heat oil to 170-180 degrees. It is best to use a sugar thermometer.
Fry donuts until browning on both sides.
After cooling, fill with fruit jam.
